upgrade! April 27, 2006

I must say, I love Linux:

16:22:26 up 634 days, 7:11, 1 user, load average: 0.07, 0.02, 0.00

I managed to upgrade WordPress to 2.0.something. It’s a lot different on the posting side, but the end-user side looks the same. I can’t decide if the WYSIWYG editor is a good thing or a bad thing. I just know it is very very slow (and by slow I mean f***ing slow) in my browser.

I am currently in the test-drive phase of this new (to me) toy:

I am hoping to get to actually give it a go tonight. We will see how things work out. Assuming I like it and it jives happy with my computer, I am going to purchase it from Jack for a nice low price of $40.

I just spent 30 minutes using a combination of mysql SELECT and DELETE statements to delete all the damn spam comments on my blog. Aparrently, I have been black-balled by some spamming queers who want to tell the 2 or 3 readers of my blog all about Jessica Simpson’s breasts and c1alis. I am fed up! I will have to start looking for better ways to block the spammarz.

I like what Dirk has done with the entire scrably word thing. The only issue I have with it is that I can never seem to make out one of the letters, so I just end up giving up on commenting.
