iTunes madness January 11, 2006

Posted by Phillip in : misc , trackback

So I have probably spent a total of 4-5 hours getting all of my music in iTunes and removing all the dupes. According to iTunes, I now have 6556 songs which equates to rougly 30 GB and 17.9 days worth of unique listening. Getting rid of duplicate songs seems to be the biggest pain in the butt thusfar. I was really getting aggrivated as I was going down the list selecting songs one-by-one. But as I kept going through the list, I realized that there were quite a few false positives. So in the end I am thankful that there is not some automagic way of removing songs identified as “duplicates”. I will point out that if you happen to accidently click a song without holding down the CTRL key, you will have to start over. :(
