So I got the notice a couple weeks ago that a few of my domains, namely routerlord.com and routerlord.net, are due for renewal. To be honest, I have really become quite tired of these domains, so I have decided to let them go.

What does this mean?!? — Well it probably means less spam for me for a little while. \o/ It also means that everyone will needs be updating their links for all my crap.

The new domain is…

WAIT FOR IT!

telinit.org.

Ok. So I have been trying to decide for the last hour or so if by registering this domain it either A) makes me the man -or- B) means I am a completely hopeless dork. My inner-geek says A. So reality probably says B.

First of all, let me make this clear. Don’t use FreeBSD.

Second of all, well, there is no second of all. Just don’t use FreeBSD.

But if for some reason you get roped into working on a FreeBSD server and your client wants you to… oh say, set up mail. Here is a good howto for Sendmail, SpamAssassin and ClamAV.

I used this when I set up mail for a friend of mine. It works. (Please don’t use FreeBSD.)

I have been reading on a lot of blogs lately about peoples experience installing and using Rails. I think it’s just worth noting that I won’t be installing, using or talking about it beyond this post.

Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against it (unlike that fundamental hatred I have for clowns). I just don’t have a need or an intrest in it. I’m not a developer. I’m not a developer.

Have you figured it out? I have an inability to blog on a regular basis. I guess this means I am irregular. My friend Darrell has apparently started up his lame blog, his words… not mine, once again. This means I will have to be more johnny-on-the-spot about my blogging.
